The verse
Jade in deep hills is slow to show its face;The stubborn stone, through years, grows quiet grace.Carve not a path through every cliff and crest—Leave clouds half-hung, that some may climb and quest.
Reading
A lower lot—tread with care. Be as jade hidden in the hills: do not lay yourself bare at every turn. Keep some mist unspent, and longing follows. Yet timing and fate hold their own measure; the god points the way, never the outcome.
