Dawn splits the dark, yet day is not yet whole;One lone star cannot rout the brimming night.Wait till the eastern birds together call—Then mist gives way, and all the woods turn bright.

Reading

This sign says: one light cannot outlast the long night. Sound your note in concord with kindred souls, and dawn comes by degrees. Who lifts another is lifted in turn; it foretells no outcome, only asks: do you walk alongside?
